What is a Blended option?

Blended offers a combination of e-learning and practical course delivery within the training centre.

The delivery of the theory (classroom based) elements of the course will be conducted by participants completing compulsory e-learning prior to attending the training centre to complete the practical training elements. Although the total learning time remains the same, conducting the training this way allows delegates to conduct the theory based learning at a time and location

Delegates will be enrolled to their e-learning approximately 3 weeks prior to the chosen practical training date to the email address provided.

Course content:

Survival at sea

This module covers essential techniques to stay afloat and conserve heat in cold water. You'll learn about body position, signaling for help, and the dangers of hypothermia.

Lifesaving Appliances (LSA)

This section dives into the various lifesaving equipment you might encounter offshore, including life rafts, life jackets, and emergency beacons. You'll learn proper operation and deployment procedures.

National and International Legislation

The course ensures you understand the legal framework surrounding sea survival. This includes regulations on life-saving equipment, emergency procedures, and abandonment protocols.

Man Overboard Techniques (MOB)
