Renewal:
GWO First Aid certificates are valid for two years. After that, you must complete a refresher course to renew your certification.

Course Contents

Basic Life Support (BLS) Techniques

This part of the course teaches you how to respond to someone who is unresponsive and not breathing. You'll learn how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to keep blood and oxygen circulating, as well as how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) if available. You'll also learn how to place someone in the recovery position to help maintain their airway.
